A minimum of 10 people are needed in order to book a reservation.
Booking Policies
The minimum group size for an event is 10 participants. Participants who choose to stay the night at another location will be charged the same rate as overnight participants.
Reservations for groups of 10 or more can be made 3 months in advance. Reservations for groups of 20 or more can be made 6 months in advance.
If the number of participants falls below the required minimum, the group renting has the choice of cancelling or continuing with the event but must pay for the minimum amount of required people even if fewer attend.
A deposit of 50% of the total cost of your stay, including the reimbursable cleaning fee, is required to book a retreat.
Full payment of the balance is due by the day your retreat begins.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation of an event by the organizers must be made by email at reservations@houstonzen.org. ACZRC will confirm this cancellation within 24 hours.
Refunds in the event of cancellations:
60days prior to event, full refund
30 days prior to event, 50% refund
No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the start of the event.
Cleaning Fee and Damages
A cleaning fee deposit of $400 is required with the reservation. It will be refunded if group meets requirements of ACZRC regarding cleaning and care of property.
Accessibility
Auspicious Cloud Zen Retreat Center is located in a rural area with rustic facilities, including uneven terrain. Entrance to some facilities and within accommodations is by stair access only. We recognize this may present certain challenges to people with disabilities and mobility issues. If you have any questions regarding accessibility or anticipate a participant who may find our property a challenge, please contact us prior to your booking.
Insurance and Liability
All groups must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming Houston Zen Center as additional insured. Please arrange this through your insurer. All guests visiting ACZRC are required to sign a Liability of Release Form which will be available upon arrival. The group coordinator is responsible for collecting signatures and handing them to the designated resident on-site on the day their retreat begins. Children under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign for them.
Reservations
